Council Minutes of 9/~Jl2004
chairman of BZD to consider putting that property maintenance discussion into BZD as
soon as possible.
Councilman Gareau said he had no objection to taking the matter into committee, but he
would like some time to schedule it. He does not think it will be given the amount of
time as proposed for the formal Council hearings.
Law Director Dubelko suggested that every member of Council should take a look at the
information gathered and provided by the administration to allow the issue to proceed
easier through committee.
Councilman Miller asked Mr. Gazeau to at least discuss the issue about loaning out our
home maintenance inspector to the CDBG program versus using him for that which all on
Council fought so hard to get him hired to do. The inspector is doing an excellent job, but
he does not want to lose the home maintenance season if Council can address the issue
and encourage the administration to perhaps better utilize their resources.
Councilman Miller asked Recreation Committee chairperson Dailey to discuss the issue
of outdoor tennis courts. The presentation from Mr. DiSalvo had no mention of outdoor
tennis courts. At one time that obviously was a plan. It sunk, so to speak, at the pazk.
He doesn't know what the status is but would like an update.
Mrs. Kasler recorded her votes from the Council meeting of August 17, 2004: yes to
2004-106, 2004-108, 2004-109 and 2004-110; 2004-43, yes to suspension and vote;
2004-118, yes to suspension and the vote; 2004-121, she is in agreement with tabling;
2004-125, yes to suspension, no to the vote; 2004-127, 2004-134 and 2004-135, yes on
all suspensions and all votes.
Mr. Miller recorded his votes from the Council meeting August 17, 2004: yes to
2004-106, 2004-108, 2004-109 and 2004-110; 2004-43, yes on suspension and vote;
2004-118, yes to suspension and the vote; 2004-121, yes to tabling; 2004-125, yes to
suspension, no to the vote; 2004-127, 2004-134 and 2004-135 yes on suspensions and
votes.
With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before
Council, Presidexrt O'Grady a journed the meeting at 9:28 p.m.
~~.~ ~. ~~
arbaza L. Seman, Clerk of Council Thomas E. O'Grady, Preside o Council
13
