;,,,~ MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ' OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AUGUST 17, 2004 Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Limpert, McKay, Nashar Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman Absent: Council Members Kasler and Miller President O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Gareau made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Resolution No. 2004-132 from first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and unanimously approved. The minutes of the Council meeting of August 3, 2004 were approved as written. President O'Grady announced the following legislation would be passed under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2004-43, 2004-118; first reading, Resolution 2004-125, 2004-127, 2004-134, 2004-135. Councilman Gareau made a motion to adjourn into executive session for the purpose of discussion of collective bargaining. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Council adjourned into executive session at 8:05 p.m. Council reconvened at 8:10 p.m. REPORTS Mayor Musial: 1) Regarding street work in Sandy Ridge and North Park Estates, Winton Park is complete from the circle at Sweetbriar all the way to Chapel Hill. The south side of Sweetbriar was poured yesterday. In North Park Estates, Andorra is complete from Wisteria to Kew, and the east side of Kew was poured last Friday. The curbing repairs are now being made. These are a total pouring of the streets-not slab repair. Service Director Driscoll has indicated that the additional cost is very minimal to have a full street poured as opposed to having slab repair.
