Council Minutes of 8/17/2004 <br />need for man-hours as well as increasing the response time to open the gates and <br />allow for additional water flow into Clague Pazk when the situation calls for it. <br />- Safety Department, police operations was a decrease of $4,360 from the original <br />amount of $58,289. In Safety fire operations, there was a transfer out of $4,443 <br />from $17,315. <br />- General Administration, personnel and employmem, there was an $8,000 decrease <br />from the $10,000 that was originally requested and appropriated. General <br />Administration, personnel, vacation and retirement originally $354,600 was <br />decreased by $50,000. <br />- General Services, service, a water main appropriated at $8,500 was not expended. <br />That amount was reduced by $8, 500. <br />- General Services, public buildings, Community Cabin operations, there was <br />$15,000 appropriated for the entire yeaz. That was decreased by $4,000. <br />- General Services, operations equipment purchases, an appropriated amount of <br />$2,5000 was decreased by $2,000. <br />- General Services, public buildings, City Hall operations, $36,000 was <br />appropriated. There was a decrease transfer of $4,000. <br />- General Services, operations, $25,000 for sidewalks was reduced by $17,297. <br />(Funds for the Clague Road aprons that were not utilized.) <br />Available at the meetings for discussion regarding their particular needs were the Fire <br />Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, representatives from the WWT facility, Service Director, <br />City Engineer, Finance Director, Law Director and Personnel Director. It was the general <br />consensus of the committee that the needs were explained properly and satisfactorily. <br />With that, the committee unanimously recommended approval of Ordinance 2004-118 as <br />amended. Councilman Gazeau made a motion to amend Ordinance 2004-11 & consistent <br />with the report and the modifications as stated. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2004-118 is amended. <br />Councilman Gareau, chairperson of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: <br />The committee met on Monday, August 9, 2004. Present were committee members <br />Gazeau, Limpert, McKay; Council members Nashaz and Miller and Council President <br />O'Grady; Law Director Dubelko, Safety Director Jesse, Personnel Director Farver, <br />Planning Director Wenger, Human Resources Director Copeland, Building <br />Commissioner Conway, Fire Chief Klecan and City Engineer Durbin. There were seven <br />items on the agenda: <br />• Resolution 2004-101, a resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for a vinyl fence to be installed on property of the new library <br />adjacent to City Hall and NOMBL buildings and further authorizing the Mayor, after <br />Boazd of Control approval, to execute a contract with the lowest and best bidder. The <br />fence will run along the eastern boundary of the library property, which will be the <br />western boundary of the current City Hall complex. Stated purposes for the proposed <br />fence included increased security for the NOMBL gazage and security for the service <br />yard by prohibiting pedestrians from traveling in the azea of the service yard.
