MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MONDAY, JUNE 28, 2004 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Clerk of Council Seman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />REP T <br />Councilman Gareau, chairperson of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: <br />1) The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met this evening, Monday, June <br />28, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. Present were Council members McKay, Gareau, Limpert, Dailey, <br />Nashar, and President of Council O'Grady; Planning Director Wenger, Law Director <br />Dubelko, Building Commissioner Conway and City Engineer Durbin. There were two <br />items on the agenda: <br />• Claque Road United Church of Christ, 3650 Claque Road. Representing the church <br />was Kathy Stentzel, pastor. The proposal is to convert some current classroom space <br />for office use by the Deaf and Deaf/Blind Committee on Human Rights, an <br />organization of about 115 members locally looking for some additional area to meet <br />and undertake their usual activities. The matter is before Council as an extension of a <br />conditional use to modify the current use which was approved, which is a church <br />within a residential district. The modification would permit not-for-profit office use <br />as part of the outreach of the church. The committee unanimously recommended <br />approval. Councilman Gareau moved that Council approve the extension of the <br />conditional use permit to modify the current use for Claque Road United Church of <br />Christ. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />• Carnegie Management & Development Corporation, the development of Parcel E. <br />Thank you to Planning Director Kimberly Wenger who has done an exceptional job <br />of trying to put her arms around the issues that were presented for the committee. Per <br />his request, she prepared a summary of the plan which included all the <br />recommendations of the various boards and commissions. He will read portions of <br />Ms. Wenger's report into the record along with the report of this evening's BZD <br />Committee meeting: <br />Site Plan <br />The site plan consists of four buildings (Building A: Target; Building B: <br />RetaiUOffice; Building C: Retail/Office; Building D: Retail/Community Center). <br />Buildings B, C and D are two-story and front on Brookpark Road with parking <br />
