Council Minutes of 4/20/2004 <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2004-51 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending Sections 1101.OS and 1101.09 of Chapter 1101 of the Planning and <br />Zoning Code entitled "Subdivision Regulations" to increase the deposit amount for the <br />review and recording of major and minor subdivision plats, easements, preliminary plans, <br />topographic maps and other data submitted to the City Engineer. Councilman Limpert <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gateau and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2004-51 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-52 introduced by Councilman Gateau was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 111.01 of the Administrative Code of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "City Contracts," in order to provide for a program whereby imerested <br />community or charity groups can staff concession trailers at the city parks and declaring <br />an emergency. Gounciiman Gateau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2004-52 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-57 introduced by Councilman Gateau was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 2004-17 and amending Section 111.02 of Chapter <br />111 of the Administrative Code, entitled "City Contracts" in order to require the city's <br />contractors to disclose information relating to past litigation involving claims by or <br />against the contractor, and declaring an emergency as amended. Councilman Gateau <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Kasler and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2004-57 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-39 introduced by Councilmen Gateau and Limpert was given its <br />second reading. An ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City <br />of North Olmsted by rezoning the rear (north) portion of Permanent Parcel Nos. 232-34- <br />011, 232-34-012, 232-34-013, 232-34-014 and 232-34-O1S, located at ZS600 Lorain Road <br />from B Residence Single Family to General Retail Business. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-60 introduced by Councilwoman Kasler was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance amending Section 137.01 (Composition) of Chapter 137, entitled <br />"Department of Law" of the Administrative Code, in order to provide for a second law <br />clerk position in the Law Department. Councilwoman Kasler moved for suspension of <br />the rule requiring three readings and noted the legislation had been heard in committee. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Gateau and passed unanimously. Dennis <br />Lambert, 2SOS7 Carey Lane, asked if funding had been set aside for the position. Mrs. <br />Kasler explained again that there will first be an attempt to hire Cleveland State work- <br />study students. If that is not possible, the funding will come from the budget of the Law <br />Department and no extra money will be appropriated. Councilwoman Kasler moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gateau and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-60 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-61 introduced by Councilman Gateau was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 9SS.02 of Chapter 9SS Sale of Surplus Personal Property <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted regarding the procedure for sale <br />of surplus property to include authorization to auction surplus property at electronic <br />auction websites <br />8 <br />
