Community Diversion: <br />The Bridge Program - a school and city partnership program funded <br />by grant money has been very successful. <br />Part of that program would include an after school activity program. <br />John Knox Church may be expanding and have expressed an interest <br />in creating an after school center. This could include Faith Based <br />money out of DC for supplemental funding of this program and space. <br />The property east of Clague =the old Pine Tree Beverage -was <br />discussed. It is being investigated as to whether the c city would be <br />permitted to sell this property since it was purchased originally with <br />/CDBG grant money. <br />PLANNER: <br />$ 30,000 for the Master plan with the County Grant <br />Shortfalls in clerical needs were noted. Also looking to fund street <br />scaping and some other projects. The department is looking to grants <br />and the economic development fund for assistance in this area. <br />ENGINEERING: <br />It was reported that Plat recording fees have doubled and therefore <br />the department has begin to perform its own filings with the county <br />Traffic signalization line item needed to be increased from 0 to <br />$12,000 to keep and maintain traffic control devices at both ramps at <br />480 and Stearns.
