MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCII. <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 16, 2004 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gazeau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, Miller, Nashaz <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member McKay <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of February 26, 2004 were approved as <br />written. The minutes of the Council meeting of March 3, 2004 were approved as written. <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: <br />• The following pieces of legislation would be considered for passage under suspension <br />of the rules: on second reading, 2004-37, 2004-38, 2004-40, 2004-42; on first <br />reading, 2004-49, 2004-55. <br />• A special Council meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, to <br />consider Ordinances 2004-21, 2004-46 and 2004-47. <br />• A public heazing will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, regarding Ordinance <br />2004-14. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) He attended the March meeting of the Council of Governments, and an <br />item of particulaz interest was the bid openings relative to the central dispatch system. <br />Rocky River is the point city on this matter. Due to a reduced interest because of a <br />conflict with a large trade show, the central dispatch system will be rebid. Although <br />North Olmsted probably will not be financially participating in the central dispatch <br />system, we are involved with providing our expertise in as much as we aze at least several <br />levels advanced because we already have a combined fire/police central dispatch system. <br />2) On March 1 1, he attended a meeting of the Mayors and Managers Association and the <br />economic development staff members of the CSU Levine College of Urban Affairs. The <br />thrust of the meeting was to listen to and discuss a proposed $500 million regional bank <br />to help fund various projects for the cities of this region. This is another approach in <br />
