Council Minutes of 3/3/20(14 <br />Resolution No. 2004-44 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution accepting a donation of field reconditioning services from Brad Friedel in <br />order to improve the condition of the Barton-Bradley soccer fields, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Miller moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and <br />formal committee review noting the legislation had been reviewed in caucus and the topic <br />had been discussed in part in various other committee meetings. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-44 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-45 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau. An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for the newly-created position <br />of Network Administrator, and otherwise re-establishing those rates for various <br />administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2004 and 2005 and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review noting that this legislation simply adds an emergency <br />clause to previously enacted legislation (2004-5) so that an employee can be paid. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2004-45 adopted. <br />Because Ordinance 2004-37 was not passed under suspension of the rules, President <br />O'Grady assigned it to the Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSIlYESS <br />Councilman Limpert scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting for <br />6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, to interview the Mayor's appoirrtments to the Landmarks <br />Commission and to discuss Ordinance 2004-43. The Mayor is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a Building, Zoning and Development Committee meeting <br />for 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, to discuss Ordinance 2004-39. The Planning <br />Director is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Miller scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting to immediately follow <br />the BZD Cammittee on Tuesday, March 9, to discuss Ordinance 2004-42. The Finance <br />Director, Police Chief and a representative from the Law Department are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Nashar scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting to <br />immediately follow the Public Safety Committee on Tuesday, March 9, to discuss <br />Ordinance 2004-41. The Service Director and Law Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Dailey scheduled a Recreation Committee meeting to immediately follow <br />the Streets & Transportation Committee on Tuesday, March 9, to discuss Resolution <br />2004-37 and Ordinance 2004-38. The Safety Director and the Mayor are asked to attend. <br />13 <br />
