Council Minutes of 3/3/2004 Gareau said that, although he agreed to suspension earlier, after looking at this again he wonders whether it shouldn't be put into committee. He is not sure what is different from the last time it was discussed. There were all sorts of problems and concerns and questions that were bandied about three months ago. It came back and, if it is voted on tonight, he is not sure that the outstanding issues have been resolved. Mayor Musial had no objection to placing the legislation in committee. Ordinance No. 200438 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a new professional services agreement with Jerry Ludvik, the golf pro at the Springvale Golf Course, for the period April 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2004-39 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilmen Gareau and Limpert. An ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted by rezoning the rear (north) portion of Permanent Parcel Nos. 232-34-011, 232-34-012, 232-34-013, 232-34-014 and 232-34-015, located at 25600 Lorain Road from B Residence Single Family to General Retail Business. Resolution No. 2004-40 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed service contract, for aten-month period commencing on March 1, 2004 and concluding on December 31, 2004, with ACS Government Systems, in order to provide maintenance support for the current payroll, budget and accounting software system of the Finance Department. Ordinance No. 200441 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Miller. An ordinance creating new Section 141.09 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool" in order to establish a motor vehicle pool for the purpose of providing motor vehicles for use by the Mayor and the city directors when conducting official city business. Ordinance No. 2004-42 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Gareau. An ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No.99-107 which established the Safe Traffic Oriented Policing ("STOP"), in order to provide that a portion of the city Prosecutor's salary may be paid from "STOP" funds. Ordinance No. 2004-43 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of an amendment to Article VII, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to require that members of the city Landmarks Commission have the qualifications necessary to qualify the Commission as a historic preservation review commission for federal funding purposes. 12
