Council Minutes of 3/3/2004 <br />Gareau said that, although he agreed to suspension earlier, after looking at this again he <br />wonders whether it shouldn't be put into committee. He is not sure what is different from <br />the last time it was discussed. There were all sorts of problems and concerns and <br />questions that were bandied about three months ago. It came back and, if it is voted on <br />tonight, he is not sure that the outstanding issues have been resolved. Mayor Musial had <br />no objection to placing the legislation in committee. <br />Ordinance No. 200438 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a new <br />professional services agreement with Jerry Ludvik, the golf pro at the Springvale Golf <br />Course, for the period April 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-39 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilmen <br />Gareau and Limpert. An ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the <br />City of North Olmsted by rezoning the rear (north) portion of Permanent Parcel Nos. <br />232-34-011, 232-34-012, 232-34-013, 232-34-014 and 232-34-015, located at 25600 <br />Lorain Road from B Residence Single Family to General Retail Business. <br />Resolution No. 2004-40 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed <br />service contract, for aten-month period commencing on March 1, 2004 and concluding <br />on December 31, 2004, with ACS Government Systems, in order to provide maintenance <br />support for the current payroll, budget and accounting software system of the Finance <br />Department. <br />Ordinance No. 200441 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Miller. An ordinance creating new Section 141.09 of the Administrative Code, entitled <br />"Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool" in order to establish a motor vehicle pool for the <br />purpose of providing motor vehicles for use by the Mayor and the city directors when <br />conducting official city business. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-42 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau. An ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No.99-107 which established <br />the Safe Traffic Oriented Policing ("STOP"), in order to provide that a portion of the city <br />Prosecutor's salary may be paid from "STOP" funds. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-43 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of an <br />amendment to Article VII, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to <br />require that members of the city Landmarks Commission have the qualifications <br />necessary to qualify the Commission as a historic preservation review commission for <br />federal funding purposes. <br />12 <br />
