~ MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />'~r- OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />DECEMBER 20, 2005 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Miller, Nashar, Orlowski, Ryan, Tallon <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Clerk of Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:04 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance as led by Eagle Scout John Jecker. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of November 29, 2005 were approved as <br />written. <br />Councilman Gareau made a motion to remove Ordinance No. 2005-95 from third reading <br />and refer it to the BZD Committee, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Barker. <br />Roll call: Gareau, yes; Barker, yes; Miller, yes; Nashar, yes; Orlowski, yes; Ryan, no; <br />Tallon, yes. The motion passed with six yes votes and one no vote. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, 2005-164, 2005-170, 2005-171, 2045- <br />172, 2005-173, 2005-174, 2005-181; first reading, 2005-182, 2005-183, 2005-184, 2005- <br />185, 2005-186, 2005-190, 2005-191. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2005-183 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Miller on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by John Jecker of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. Councilman <br />Miller moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Miller moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2005-183 adopted. John was invited to come forward, and <br />the resolution was read in its entirety. John was congratulated by members of Council, <br />the administration and all present. <br />Resolution No. 2005-184 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution to honor and recognize <br />the accomplishments of Council Member Carolyn J. Kasler. Councilman Gareau moved <br />for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion <br />
