Council Minutes of 12/6/2005 <br />Ordinance No. 2005-178 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of <br />an amendment to Article VIII, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to <br />authorize two additional exceptions to local competitive biddings that are permitted by <br />State law, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-179 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of <br />an amendment to Article II of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted providing that <br />duties and procedural requirements unilaterally imposed by the State upon municipal <br />corporations that purport to limit exercises of local self-government power, shall not be <br />binding upon or applicable to the City of North Olmsted, unless expressly authorized in <br />the city Charter or by city ordinance, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-180 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of <br />an amendment to Article VI, Section 4, of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted <br />authorizing the Civil Service Commission, in accordance with Ohio Supreme Court <br />decisions and to the extent permitted by the Charter, to lawfully adopt and enforce local <br />rules and regulations that may be different from the State's Civil Service statutes, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-181 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2005. <br />MISCELLANEOUS HUS,~NESS <br />President Kennedy announced that a public hearing would be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />January 17, 2006, with regarding to Ordinance No. 2005-165. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />December 13, to discuss Planning Commission items Vienna Woods and Red Lobster. <br />The Planning Director and Law Director are asked to attend. It was requested that the <br />parking plan for Red Lobster be distributed before the meeting so Council could review <br />the plans. <br />Councilman Ryan scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting for <br />7:30 p.m, on Tuesday, December 13. The committee will discuss Ordinances 2005-164, <br />2005-171, 2005-174, 2005-175 and appointments to boards and commissions. The Law <br />Director, Mayor and Finance Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Tallon scheduled a Finance Committee meeting to immediately follow the <br />Intra-Governmental Committee on December 13. The committee will discuss Ordinances <br />2005-170, 2005-172, 2005-181 and the addition of an Administrative Assistant in the <br />Mayor's office.
