-- r <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 1, 2005 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Miller, Nashar, Orlowski, Ryan, Tallon <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance as led by Eagle Scout Michael Steward. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 18, 2005 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Resolution 2005-136; first reading, <br />Ordinance 2005-155 and Resolutions 2005-160 and 2005-161. <br />President Kennedy welcomed guest Enrique Nunez, a student from Mexico, who is <br />spending the school year in North Olmsted as the guest of Assistant Superintendent Doug <br />Sebring. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2005-160 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of the Mayor and entire City Council. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by Michael Christopher Steward of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2005-160 adopted. President Kennedy asked Michael to <br />come forward, and the legislation was read in its entirety. Michael was recognized by <br />Council, the administration and all present. <br />Resolution No. 2005-161 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of the Mayor and entire City Council. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by Elliot Shay Phillips of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings.
