Council Minutes of 11/1/2005 <br />subject to approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract for <br />same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-158 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Orlowski. An ordinance amending Section 555.03 of Chapter 555 (Noise Control) of the <br />General Offenses Code, entitled "Specific Prohibitions," in order to regulate snow <br />storage operations on commercial property located near residences. <br />Resolution No. 2005-159 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady <br />on behalf of himself and the entire City Council. A resolution accepting the amounts and <br />rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies <br />and certifying them to the County Auditor. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Nashar scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting for 7 p.m. <br />on Monday, November 14, to discuss Ordinance 2005-158 and to review with the Mayor <br />the proposed Crocker/Steams Road noise walls that are being proposed. The Law <br />Director, Planning Director and the Mayor are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a Building, Zoning and Development Committee meeting <br />immediately following the Streets & Transportation Committee on November 14. Items <br />discussed will be Ordinance No. 2005-95 dealing with Chapter 1138 the Senior <br />Residence District and the occupancy of Target at the Parcel E site. Planning Director <br />Wenger and the Law Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Tallon scheduled a Finance Committee meeting immediately following the <br />BZD Committee on November 14 to discuss Ordinance 2005-154 and Resolution <br />2005-159. Finance Director Copfer and directors who are affected by the transfers are <br />asked to attend. Councilman Ryan asked that the Finance Director be prepared to discuss <br />the changes in our revenue, specifically the bus administration fee, the school district gas <br />reimbursement, local government funds, estate taxes and total charges and services. <br />Councilman Miller scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting immediately following <br />the Finance Committee on Monday, November 14, to discuss Resolutions 2005-149 and <br />2005-156. Given that it may be a lengthy evening, he may wish to reschedule the <br />meeting as it may require attendance from various city officials who may not be able to <br />schedule it at a later hour. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before the <br />Council, President Kennedy adjourned the meeting at 9:32 p.m. <br />~~ <br />Barbara L.
