,,. <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 18, 2045 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Miller, Nashar, Orlowski, Ryan <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Tallon <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Gareau requested that the minutes of the Council meeting of October 4, 2005 <br />be changed as to the following: On page 11, his motion to relieve the matter of a special <br />permit application from committee be changed to relieve the matter of a conditional use <br />application from committee. There was no objection to the change, and the minutes of <br />the Council meeting of October 4, 2005 were approved as corrected. <br />President Kennedy made the following announcements: <br />• First reading, Resolutions 2005-147, 2005-148 and 2005-151 would be <br />considered for passage under suspension of the rules. <br />• A public hearing will be held at 7:15 on Tuesday, November 1, with regards to <br />Ordinance 2005-131, changing the name of the Human Resources Dept. to <br />Community Life Services. <br />RE_ <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) The military support initiative continues. We are asking residents to <br />donate new T-shirts, walking shorts or gym shorts for use by our service members <br />stationed overseas or for those who are recuperating in military hospitals. Donations can <br />be dropped off to the Human Resources/Community Life Services Department. <br />2) Halloween trick-or-treating is Monday, October 31, 6 to 8 p.m. Please drive carefully. <br />3) Leaf pick-up schedule has arrived. Questions should be directed to the Service Dept. <br />4) Departments: <br />Human Resources/Community Life Services <br />• Coordinated two volunteer projects in our community. One done through <br />Key Bank, "Neighbors Make A Difference Day" and the other through <br />
