Council Minutes of 10/4/2005 <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Ryan moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Tallon and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-142 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-143 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Barker on behalf of himself, Mayor O'Grady and Councilmen Gareau, Nashar and <br />Orlowski. A resolution authorizing payment and ratifying the Mayor's execution of a <br />contract with Comm Steel Incorporated for emergency repairs to the roof girder at the <br />indoor pool area of the North Olmsted Recreation Center, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Barker moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />formal committee review noting that the issue had been discussed in committee. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Barker moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar. Roll <br />call: Barker, yes; Nashar, yes; Gareau, yes; Miller, yes; Orlowski, yes; Ryan, yes, with <br />comment that he is very concerned about that roof. He is sure that the Service Director <br />will be very careful with that structure and make sure that it's safe. Roll call continued: <br />Tallon, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2005-143 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-144 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady <br />and Councilmen Ryan and Barker. A resolution authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Planning to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the fiscal year 2006 for the HUD/Cuyahoga <br />County Exterior Maintenance Program, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-145 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady <br />on behalf of himself and Councilmen Ryan and Barker. A resolution authorizing and <br />directing the Director of Planning to make application on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the fiscal year <br />2006 for handicapped accessibility improvements to the North Olmsted Park, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-146 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio conditionally approving the request for <br />an assignment of the cable television franchise from Adelphia to Time Warner, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings and committee review, and the motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Gareau. Roll call: Miller, yes; Gareau, yes; Nashar, yes; Orlowski, yes; Ryan, yes; <br />Tallon, yes; Barker, abstain due to financial involvement with one of the companies. The <br />motion passed unanimously with six yes votes and one abstention. Councilman Miller <br />moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau. Roll call: <br />Miller, yes; Gareau, yes; Nashar, yes; Ryan, yes; Tallon, yes; Orlowski, yes; Barker, <br />abstain due to financial involvement with one of the companies. The motion passed <br />unanimously with six yes votes and one abstention. Ordinance No. 2005-146 adopted. <br />16 <br />
