Resolution No. 2005-72 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-81 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewed one-year contract with Lexis- <br />Nexis, adivision of Reed Elsevier Inc., for the purpose of providing Internet-based legal <br />research services to the City Law Department. Councilman Gazeau moved for adoption, <br />and the motion was seconded by Councilman Miller. Roll call: Gazeau, yes; Miller, yes; <br />McKay, yes; Barker, yes; Talton, yes; Ryan, abstain, due to a previous personal <br />relationship with the Law Department. Roll call continued: Nashaz, yes. The motion <br />passed with six yes votes and one abstention based on a personal relationship. Resolution <br />No. 2005-81 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-80 introduced by Mayor O'Grady and the entire Council was given <br />its second reading. A resolution approving and adopting the 2005 Master Plan for the <br />City of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-86 introduced by Mayor O'Grady and the entire Council was given <br />its second reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to request <br />proposals to provide planning and design services for the development of a recreation <br />plan for the city; and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br />planning and design professional selected in the RFP process and approved by the Board <br />of Control. Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rule requiring three <br />readings and noted the legislation had been reviewed in committee. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Councilman Gazeau moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-86 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance enacting new Chapter 162 entitled "Travel Expenses" and repealing <br />Section 161.06 of the Codified Ordinances, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to execute an agreement <br />with the Westshore Council of Governments ("WCOG") and the cities of Bay Village, <br />Rocky River, Fairview Park, and Westlake, providing for WCOG to establish and operate <br />a central fire dispatch center at St. John West Shore Hospital and for North Olmsted's <br />participation in the central fire dispatch center, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-91 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Chief of Police to file an application for a fiscal year 2005 <br />Homeland Security Grant, further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, <br />and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the grant, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br /> <br />12 <br />
