' Council Minutes of 6-7-2005 <br />had. He is really looking forward to being a Council member and can't wait to become <br />involved and do everything he can to help make North Olmsted one of the best cities in <br />northern Ohio. He expressed his thanks to everyone. <br />Councilman Barker said that sitting at the podium gives one a different perspective than <br />sitting at the back of the room as he has done for the past seven years. He thanked his <br />wife Nancy and daughter Carrie for joining him for the swearing-in ceremony and all his <br />family and friends for attending and for their support. Seven years ago he started service <br />to the city as a committee volunteer and from that began to attend Council and committee <br />meetings. He thanked Mr. John Dailey for his support over the past month and wished <br />him and Mr. Limpert luck on their new positions. He will be here for the residents of <br />Ward II and for the residents of North Olmsted. He expressed his thanks to all. <br /> <br />President Kennedy introduced Scout Honorary Officials chairpersons Christie Kort and <br />Lois Zolar. <br />Mrs. Kort: thanked Council for the opportunity to present the top North Olmsted Scouts <br />for this year. She introduced co-chairperson Mike Fioritto. <br />Mr. Fioritto introduced Richard Kreps, Mr. Scouting for 2005. Mayor O'Grady asked <br />Mr. Kreps to come forward, and he was congratulated by all of Council and members of <br />the administration. Mayor O'Grady presented a proclamation to Mr. Kreps in honor of <br />his outstanding achievements and dedicated service to Scouting and to the community. <br />Mr. Kreps expressed his thanks. Mr. Fioritto introduced Mrs. Ruth White, Mrs. Scouting <br />for 2005. Mayor O'Grady asked Mrs. White to come forward, and she was congratulated <br />by all of Council and members of the administration. Mayor O'Grady presented a <br />proclamation to Mrs. White in honor of her outstanding achievements and dedicated <br />service to Scouting and to the community.
