Council Minutes of 5/17/2005 <br />Ordinance No. 2005-87 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending the organizational chart of the Engineering Division of the <br />Department of Public Service for the purpose of adding two seasonal Engineering <br />Inspector positions and declaring an emergency. Councilman Nashar moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review, but he <br />noted the matter had been discussed in the Streets & Transportation Committee. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Nashar moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-87 adopted. <br />MISCELLANEQI7S RUS~SS <br />President Kennedy announced that a special Council meeting would be held at 6:30 p.m. <br />on Monday, May 23. The agenda will include nominations and voting for Ward 1 and 2 <br />Council positions and swearing-in of the new Council members. Law Director Dubelko <br />noted that he may wish to add legislation to the agenda authorizing the appeal of two fire <br />fighter arbitration awards. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a Finance Committee meeting to immediately follow the <br />special Council meeting on Monday, May 23, to discuss Ordinance 2005-86. The <br />Planning Director is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting to immediately follow the <br />Finance Committee meeting on Monday, May 23, to discuss Resolution No. 2005-80. <br />(Master Plan) The Planning Director is asked to attend. The Clerk is requested to notify <br />the list of residents who had attended a previous meeting regarding the Master Plan. <br />Councilman Nashar made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman Miller. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Dailey said he wanted to thank Mayor O'Grady for the opportunity to serve <br />as the Director of Human Resources. He thanked the members of Council for approving <br />that nomination this evening. He thanked the residents of Ward 2 for allowing him to <br />serve them as their elected official, and he said he looked forward to representing the <br />residents of the City of North Olmsted in many capacities for hopefully many years to <br />come. <br />Councilman Nashar wished Mr. Limpert and Mr. Dailey good luck and said it had been a <br />pleasure working with them on Council. He is looking forward to the remainder of his <br />term working with them as new directors. <br />Councilman Limpert thanked everyone for their support and said it had been a pleasure <br />voting with all of them for the last 12 years.
