Council Minutes of 5/4/2005 <br />Councilman Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Dailey. The motion passed <br />with five yes votes and one abstention by Councilman Gareau because of a professional <br />relationship between his office and West Shore New Holland, Inc. Councilman Limpert <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller. The motion <br />passed with five yes votes and one abstentian from Councilman Gareau. Resolution <br />No. 2005-73 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-74 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to purchase a new 1.5 ton dump <br />truck and two new 2.5 ton single-axle dump trucks with snowplows and computer salt <br />controls through the State Purchase Program; further authorizing the Mayor to execute a <br />purchase agreement or agreements with International Truck and Engine Corp.; and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Dailey and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2005-74 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-75 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 97-74 in order to differently designate revenues <br />derived from leases and subleases of city-owned properties for telecommunications <br />facilities, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-76 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Law to enter into negotiations with <br />the First Integrated Regional Senior Transportation (F.I.R.ST.) Consortium for a lease of <br />the city's real property on Butternut Ridge road, formerly the site of the Special Horizon <br />Early Intervention Center, as a call and dispatch center for transporting elderly and <br />disabled persons; further authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the city, to enter into the <br />lease negotiated by the Director of Law; and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-77 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed <br />federal equitable sharing agreement with the United States of America Departments of <br />Justice and Treasury, for the period October 1, ZOOS through September 30, 2008, in <br />order to continue the city's participation in the equitable sharing program, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-78 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance creating new Section 167.021 of Chapter 167 of the Administrative Code <br />entitled "Department of Personnel and Administrative Services," for the purpose of <br />creating a new position of "Employment Specialist," eliminating one secretary position, <br />and otherwise clarifying the staff positions within the department's organizational chart, <br />and further amending Section 153.01 of Chapter 153 of the Administrative Code, entitled <br /> <br />15 <br />" . -t ~ <br />
