1- ' <br />Council Minutes of 4/19/2005 <br />Nashar, yes; Miller, yes, commenting, that Council was advised that the payroll costs for <br />this new position would be offset by lesser use of part-time. He would hope that is <br />monitored and we do operate within the budget as promised as to this position. Roll call <br />continued: Limpert, yes; Kasler, yes; Gareau, yes. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-26 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-35 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed <br />service contract with B&C Communications, Inc. to maintain base radios and console as <br />well as mobile in-car radios for the Police Department, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings and noted <br />the legislation was reviewed in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Gareau and passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-35 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-38 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Law to apply to Cleveland State University for a <br />federal work-study award for payment of a portion of the compensation of the city's law <br />clerks for the period 2405-2006, authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with <br />Cleveland State University regarding the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2005-38 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-39 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2004-138, entitled "Preliminary Legislation," in <br />order to revise the project description for an improvement to Great Northern Boulevard <br />(SR-252) within the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Nashar moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings and noted the <br />legislation had been discussed in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Gareau and passed unanimously. Councilman Nashar moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-39 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-40 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />final resolution approving the estimate by the Director of the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation (ODOT) of the city's share of the cost of the pavement surface treatment <br />improvement to Great Northern Boulevard (State Route 252) from Al Moen Drive to the <br />south corporation line, in the amount of $89,082.00 for the project, and requesting that <br />the Director of ODOT proceed with the improvement; and further authorizing the Mayor <br />to enter into an escrow agreement for highway improvement and contract with the State <br />of Ohio providing for the payment of the city's share of the cost of the improvement, and <br />declaring an emergency.
