Council Minutes of 10/3/2006 <br />- Dan DeBrodt, 23140 Stoneybrook Drive, is disturbed with comments by residents attacking <br />*n. public officials who are doing their job honestly and honorably. It is fine when kept in the <br />confines of the room, but should not be made public. When it gets down to writing letters to the <br />editor berating public officials, he thinks that is out of order. He recommended that everyone <br />read Westlife letters to the editor tomorrow as he will have a letter there. <br />LEGISLATIQN <br />Ordinance No. 2005-158 introduced by Councilman Orlowski was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 555.03 of Chapter 555 (Noise Control) of the General Offenses <br />Code, entitled "Specific Prohibitions," in order to regulate snow storage operations on <br />commercial property located neaz residences, as amended. Councilman Orlowski moved for <br />adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Tallon. RoII call: Orlowski, yes; Tallon, <br />yes; Ryan, no; Miller, yes; Jones, no; Gareau, no; Barker, no. The motion failed with three yes <br />votes and four no votes. Ordinance No. 2005-158 is not adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2006-150 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to solicit bids for the purchase of eight <br />thousand (8,000) tons of rock salt for ice and snow removal per specifications on file in his <br />office, and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for said purchase subject to approval by <br />the Board of Control, and declaring an emergency. Council Member Dailey Jones moved far <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2006-150 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-153 introduced by Mayor O'Grady on behalf of himself and the entire City <br />Council was given its third reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to <br />request proposals for consultant services for the analysis of the municipal infrastructure and <br />facilities for conformance to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); and further authorizing <br />the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an agreement with the <br />person or firm selected in the RFP process. Councilman Tallon moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Ryan and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-153 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-154 introduced by Mayor O'Grady on behalf of himself and the entire City <br />Council was given its third reading.
