® MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 2~6 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Miller, Orlowski, Ryan, Talton <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Orlowski made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Resolution <br />No. 2006-147 and return it to committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Ryan and passed unanimously. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of September 5, 2006 were approved as written. The <br />minutes of the special Council meeting of September 12, 2006 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Resolutions 2006-148 and 2006-158, <br />Ordinance 2006-151; first reading, Resolution 2006-159, Ordinance 2006-163. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) Congratulations to Chief of Police Wayne Wozniak on his swearing- <br />in, and congratulations to Captain Kevin Whelan on his outstanding evaluation during <br />testing. Comments from the testing group included, "Both candidates are a credit to the <br />department and the City." What is clear is that we are well led in our city's Safety <br />Forces. <br />2) Departments: <br />Community Life Services <br />• The Senior Center will be holding Lifeline Screenings in the Community Cabin <br />on November 29~' from 8:15-5:30. This screening is for strokes, aneurysms, <br />osteoporosis, and peripheral arterial disease. The screenings cost $45 each or can <br />be purchased in packages to reduce the overall cost. The screenings are open to <br />all North Olmsted residents regardless of age. <br /> <br />
