® MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SEPTEMBER 19, 2~6 Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, Dailey Jones, Miller, Orlowski, Ryan, Talton Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Orlowski made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Resolution No. 2006-147 and return it to committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ryan and passed unanimously. The minutes of the Council meeting of September 5, 2006 were approved as written. The minutes of the special Council meeting of September 12, 2006 were approved as written. President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: second reading, Resolutions 2006-148 and 2006-158, Ordinance 2006-151; first reading, Resolution 2006-159, Ordinance 2006-163. REPORTS Mayor O'Grady: 1) Congratulations to Chief of Police Wayne Wozniak on his swearing- in, and congratulations to Captain Kevin Whelan on his outstanding evaluation during testing. Comments from the testing group included, "Both candidates are a credit to the department and the City." What is clear is that we are well led in our city's Safety Forces. 2) Departments: Community Life Services • The Senior Center will be holding Lifeline Screenings in the Community Cabin on November 29~' from 8:15-5:30. This screening is for strokes, aneurysms, osteoporosis, and peripheral arterial disease. The screenings cost $45 each or can be purchased in packages to reduce the overall cost. The screenings are open to all North Olmsted residents regardless of age.
