MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 20, 2006 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Miller, Orlowski, Ryan, Tallon <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of June 6, 2006 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered far passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Resolution 2006-112, Ordinance <br />2006-119, Resolution 2006-120, Ordinance 2006-126, Resolution 2006-131; first <br />reading, Ordinance 2006-132, Resolution 2006-133, Resolution 2006-134, Ordinance <br />2006-136. <br />President Kennedy announced that City Council would be on vacation during the month <br />of July, and the next regularly scheduled Council meeting will be August 1, 2006. <br />Councilman Tallon made a motion to remove Ordinance 2006-117 from the agenda and <br />place it back in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller. Mayor <br />O'Grady commented he was not aware that during caucus Council had approved the idea <br />to remove the legislation. Certainly, if it is preordained that the front entrance project i <br />going to be terminated or stopped today, then it should go back into committee. But if <br />that is not preordained, he asked that it go forward. Roll call: Tallon, yes; Miller, yes; <br />Gareau, no; Jones, no; Barker, no; Orlowski, yes; Ryan, yes. The motion passed with <br />four yes votes and three no votes. Ordinance 2006-117 was removed from the agenda <br />and put back into committee. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) The groundbreaking for the new Fire Station will be held at 10 a.m. <br />Wednesday, June 21. <br />2) The North Olmsted career fair was an incredible success and brought together over <br />1,300 job seekers with over 70 different companies and over 20 .different community <br />organizations. This was the result of the city's efforts working with the County <br />
