Council Minutes of 6/20/2006
unanimously. Councilman Talton moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by
Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2006-136 adopted.
Mme. SCELLAN~UUS SU~-
Mayor O'Grady asked for tame in advance of the special Council meeting to speak to
Council and summarize what has transpired with regard to the front entrance project. It
was clear from comments of some Council Members that there was misunderstanding,
and he would like the opportunity to again clarify some of the points that were
misunderstood.
Councilman Ryan said he believed the legislation in question was put back into
committee this evening. It was explained that Ordinance 2046-117 was put back into
committee. Mr. Ryan said he did not understand why the transfer ordinance was then
being held up. Why are three Council Members making Council come back with a
special meeting? Councilman Gareau said he was entitled to exercise his vote yes or no
without explanation. His vote was no on suspension of the rule, and he does not agree
with the ordinance. He will probably vote no on the ordinance passage as well. He is at
liberty to do so.
Council discussed possible dates for a special Council meeting and will notify the Clerk
within the next few days as to the date.
With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before
Council, President Kennedy adjourned the Council meeting at 10:05 p.m.
~- -'~-
Bazbaza L. Seman, Clerl of Council evin M. Kennedy, nt of Council

21
