Council Minutes of 4/18/2006 <br />Ordinance No. 2006-82 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2046 as <br />amended. Councilman Tallon moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings <br />as it has been discussed. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Tallon moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2006-82 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-83 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio conditionally approving the request for <br />a transfer of control of the cable television franchise from WOW to Avista; and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the rule requiring three <br />readings and formal committee review as the matter has been reviewed by committee and <br />recommended for approval. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2006-83 adapted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-84 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance creating new Section 139.09 of Chapter 139 of the Administrative Code <br />entitled "Department of Public Safety," for the purpose of transferring the position and <br />duties of "Assistant Director of Community Life Services" from the Department of <br />Community Life Services to the Department of Public Safety, renaming the position <br />"Youth Services Coordinator," and establishing a new division in the Department of <br />Public Safety headed by that newly renamed position. <br />Resolution No. 2006-85 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution enacted by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio (hereinafter <br />referred to as the Loeal Public Agency, LPA), in the matter of the stated described project <br />(resurface Lorain Road (SR-10) from Bmokpark Road to the east corporation line, a <br />distance of 2.45 miles more or less in the City of North Olmsted), and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS ~USI.1~tESS <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April <br />25, to discuss the Parcel E status, and the following Planning & Design Commission <br />items: Wellington Place ,Chick-Fil-A, Wild Mango and Archiver's. The Planning <br />Director, City Engineer, Law Director and a representative from the Building Dept. are <br />asked to attend. <br />Council Member Dailey Jones scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting <br />for Saturday, April 22, at 8:30 a.m. for an information tour of certain city streets led by <br />Service Director Limpert to determine which streets are in need of pothole repair this <br />year and to review streets for the possibility of adding them to .the list of streets to be <br />resurfaced for next year. A committee meeting to discuss Resolution No. 2006-85 will be <br />scheduled at a later date. <br />20 <br />
