r <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 7, 2006 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Miller, Orlowski, Ryan <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Tallon <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Mayor O'Grady asked that Council consider the inclusion in the February 21, 2006 <br />Council minutes of his comments following the vote on suspension of the rules for <br />Resolution 2006-52. The Clerk explained the tape did not work, so she did not have the <br />comments to transcribe. Mayor O'Grady withdrew his request. The minutes of the <br />Council meeting of February 21, 2006 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinances 2006-16, 2006-48, 2006-59; <br />first reading, Resolutions 2006-61, 2006-62, 2006-63, 2006-64, 2006-69 and Ordinance <br />2006-67. <br />Council Member Dailey Jones made a motion to amend the agenda by removing <br />Ordinance Nos. 2006-53, 2006-54, 2006-57 from second reading. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. <br />REP <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) The Clague Road rehabilitation project is proceeding with the <br />culvert work expected to be completed by month's end. After that portion is completed, <br />the traffic pattern will change to southbound only for the duration of the project. <br />2) The NOPEC Board of Directors have announced a contract with Dominion Retail to <br />provide natural gas at a rate of $9.70 per thousand cubit foot. The new rate will be <br />locked in for the next seven months. During that time, NOPEC will be negotiating for <br />the final rate when it is most advantageous. <br />3) The County Senior Transportation Connection has made an offer of continued <br />employment to F.I.R.S.T and N.O.C.O.P. Director Nick Schrader. He has accepted the <br />
