Council Minutes of 3/7/2006 <br />Resolution No. 2006-69 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution designating the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted as the authorized agent <br />to sign and submit an application for a public assistance grant relating to a May/June <br />2004 flood event in the City of North Olmsted to the Ohio Department of Public Safety, <br />Ohio Emergency Management Agency, further authorizing the Mayor to accept the said <br />grant, if awarded, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, and to execute all documents <br />necessary to effectuate application for and receipt of the said grant, finally ratifying all <br />previous actions taken by the administration regarding the grant application, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings and formal committee review and noted it was presented to Council by the <br />Service Director during caucus this evening. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2006-69 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-70 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Barker. An ordinance temporarily amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North <br />Olmsted in order to close Esther Avenue at the Fairview Park corporation line to through <br />traffic during the Clague Road reconstruction project, authorizing the placement and <br />installation of all appropriate traffic control devices to effectuate such temporary street <br />closing, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-71 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance creating new Sections 305.03 through 305.09 of Chapter 305 of the North <br />Olmsted Traffic Code, entitled "Traffic Control," in order to delegate authority to the <br />Director of Public Safety to make temporary amendments to the Traffic Control File for <br />construction projects and during emergencies, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council Member Dailey Jones made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman Ron <br />Tallon.
