Council Minutes of 1/17/2006 <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2005-187 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewed one-year service contract, for <br />the term January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006, with TAC Computer Inc., in order <br />to provide maintenance and repair services for various computer hardware and software <br />at the Police Department, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman <br />Orlowski moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Orlowski moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2005-187 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2006-2 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for a one year <br />contract (with an additional automatic one year extension) for laboratory analytical <br />services for the Wastewater Treatment Plant, as per specifications on file in his office, <br />and authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a <br />contract for same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-3 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Law to retain outside counsel to assist the City <br />of North Olmsted in matters relating to the proposed transfer of control of the cable <br />franchise of WideOpenWest Cleveland, LLC ("WOW Cleveland") from WideOpenWest <br />Holdings, LLC ("WOW Holdings") to Racecar Acquisition, LLC ("Avista Capital <br />Partners"), and declaring an emergency. Councilman Tallon moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Tallon moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2006-3 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2006-4 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into an <br />agreement with the North Olmsted School District, granting the school district a license <br />to install and maintain a removable fence on Diamond Number One Baseball Field at <br />North Olmsted Park, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2006-5 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady on <br />behalf of himself and the entire City Council. A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to negotiate and accept an easement from the <br />Cleveland Metroparks Board of Park Commissioners for the purpose of constructing a <br />joint access drive on Metroparks real property that will provide access to Fire Station No. <br />2 and to the Metroparks property; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Orlowski <br />moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously.
