Council Minutes of 1/17/2006 Resolution No. 2006-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to make an emergency purchase of five (S) new Crown Victoria Interceptor cruisers for the North Olmsted Police Department through the state purchase program; further authorizing the Mayor to execute all necessary contract documents; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Orlowski moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. An ordinance amending Section 1126.03 of the Zoning Code in order to add storm and sanitary sewer certification requirements to the development plan submittal requirements for commercial developers. Ordinance No. 2006-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member Dailey Jones on behalf of Councilman Gateau. An ordinance amending Section 1135.02 of the Zoning Code in order to permit larger detached accessory storage buildings on one family residence district lots that are one acre or greater in size. Resolution No. 2006-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady on behalf of himself and the entire City Council. A resolution in support of House Bill No. 293 to authorize Boards of County Commissioners to establish property tax payment. linked deposit programs to assist senior citizens and permanently and totally disabled citizens in paying property taxes on their homesteads, and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 2006-10 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady on behalf of himself and the entire City Council. A resolution in support of House Bill No. 294 to authorize County Boards of Revision to conduct administrative foreclosure proceedings upon tax liens against statutorily defined "abandoned lands," and declaring an emergency. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Miller scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2006. The administration is asked to invite a representative from Floyd Browne to discuss their Phase I report. Resolution No. 2006-2 will also be discussed. Councilman Ryan scheduled anInfra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. The committee will discuss Resolution Nos. 2006-9 and 2006-10 and applicants for the position on the Landmarks Commission. The Mayor and Law Director are asked to attend. 7
