Council Minutes of 1/17/2006 <br />Resolution No. 2006-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to make an emergency purchase of <br />five (S) new Crown Victoria Interceptor cruisers for the North Olmsted Police <br />Department through the state purchase program; further authorizing the Mayor to execute <br />all necessary contract documents; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Orlowski <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2006-6 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member <br />Dailey Jones on behalf of herself and Councilmen Gateau, Orlowski and Ryan. An <br />ordinance amending Section 1126.03 of the Zoning Code in order to add storm and <br />sanitary sewer certification requirements to the development plan submittal requirements <br />for commercial developers. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member <br />Dailey Jones on behalf of Councilman Gateau. An ordinance amending Section 1135.02 <br />of the Zoning Code in order to permit larger detached accessory storage buildings on one <br />family residence district lots that are one acre or greater in size. <br />Resolution No. 2006-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady on <br />behalf of himself and the entire City Council. A resolution in support of House Bill No. <br />293 to authorize Boards of County Commissioners to establish property tax payment. <br />linked deposit programs to assist senior citizens and permanently and totally disabled <br />citizens in paying property taxes on their homesteads, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2006-10 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady <br />on behalf of himself and the entire City Council. A resolution in support of House Bill <br />No. 294 to authorize County Boards of Revision to conduct administrative foreclosure <br />proceedings upon tax liens against statutorily defined "abandoned lands," and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Miller scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting at 7 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, January 24, 2006. The administration is asked to invite a representative from <br />Floyd Browne to discuss their Phase I report. Resolution No. 2006-2 will also be <br />discussed. <br />Councilman Ryan scheduled anInfra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting for <br />7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. The committee will discuss Resolution <br />Nos. 2006-9 and 2006-10 and applicants for the position on the Landmarks Commission. <br />The Mayor and Law Director are asked to attend. <br /> <br />7 <br />
