The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Ryan moved that Council approve George Nashar as the City Council appointment to the Charter Review Commission for the term of 1/1/06 to 12/31/08 and James Cotner as the City Council appointment to the Planning & Design Commission for the term of 1/1/06 to 12/31/10. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. AUDIENCE PARTICIP,A:T,,,~IQ~N Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane, expressed his opinion that the audience should not recite the Pledge of Allegiance but simply pledge their allegiance to the Flag. Charles Dial, 27959 Gardenia, welcomed Councilwoman Dailey Jones and said he felt she would be a great Councilperson. Expressed his opinion that Council should cooperate and work for the good of the city and that Councilman Gareau has been an excellent role model and Councilman Barker has also been excellent and has offered constructive criticism. Rhett Davison, 25222 Carey Lane, questioned the Mayor about a resolution to the on- going problem he has been experiencing for six years regarding the mounding/buffering between his home and the Friends Church. He has talked to numerous people at the city over the years and has made numerous phone calls. The original plan was whittled down into a minor change, and he doesn't understand how this came to be. He is disappointed with the city and not happy with the four trees that have been planted in front of his window. Mayor O'Grady said he would ensure that Mr. Davison would be contacted by the Engineering Department. Councilman Orlowski said he remembered briefly speaking with Mr. Davison when he was going door-to-door. Mr. Davison informed him that he was dealing with Assistant Law Director O'Malley and things were going fairly well at 7
