Council Minutes of l1/20/2007 <br />unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2007-136 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-137 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Chief of Police to apply for a grant from the Cuyahoga <br />County Safe Kids/Safe Communities Coalition to reimburse the city for funds that will be <br />expended on increased police patrols for the purpose of deterring motorists from driving <br />while intoxicated; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, and to <br />execute a contract with the said coalition; and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Barker moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2007-137 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-138 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2008. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Tallon scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, <br />November 28, to discuss Ordinance 2007-138. The Finance Director, Mayor and Law <br />Director are asked to attend. <br />Council Member Dailey Jones scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting <br />at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, to discuss Ordinance 2007-27. The Law <br />Director, Service Director, and Chamber of Commerce rep are asked to attend. <br />President Kennedy scheduled a Committee-of--the-Whole meeting for 8 p.m. on <br />Wednesday, November 28, to discuss records retention with regard to five year's of <br />tapes. All of Council is asked to attend as well as the Law Director and Human <br />Resources Director. <br />Councilman Barker scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee <br />meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, to discuss ADA issues and the report from <br />the architect. All of Council as well as the Planning Director and CDBG Committee are <br />asked to attend. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />COUllcll, President Kennedy adjourned the meeting at 9:20 p.m. <br />arbara L.
