:7 <br />L <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 7, 2007 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Miller, Orlowski, Ryan, Tallon <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 16, 2007 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinances 2007-116, 2007-118; first <br />reading, Resolutions 2007-126, 2007-129, and Ordinance 2007-131. <br />Councilman Ryan made a motion to amend the agenda to add Ordinance 2007-96 on <br />second reading and remove Ordinance 2007-124 from second reading. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. <br />REP_ <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) Congratulations to all that had the courage to offer themselves as <br />candidates in yesterday's election regardless of winning or losing. Special <br />congratulations to Councilman Gareau, Councilman-elect Mahoney and Councilman- <br />elect Kearney. The administration looks forward to working with the new members of <br />Council and the continuing members of Council next year. <br />2) Presented a proclamation to Betty Lord in recognition of her many outstanding <br />achievements and lasting contributions to our community, particularly as a member of the <br />Landmarks Commission for thirty years. Members of the Landmarks Commission came <br />forward and presented Mrs. Lord with a flower bouquet and thanked her for all of her <br />work. Mrs. Lord expressed her thanks. Councilman Orlowski personally thanked Mrs. <br />Lord for service on the Landmarks Commission and for sharing her knowledge and <br />passion for the Landmarks Commission and the history of North Olmsted. <br />3) Presented a proclamation to North Olmsted City Schools Superintendent Cheryl <br />Dubsky in recognition of the 86"' annual observance of American Education Week, <br />November 11 through November 17, 2007.
