Council Minutes of 9/4/2007 <br />Ordinance No. 2007-104 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the deposit of public <br />monies with Citizens Bank designated by Council as an additional depository for the <br />active and interim deposits of the city. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-105 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance determining the video service provider fee to be paid by a video service <br />provider offering video service in the city pursuant to a state authorization; and <br />authorizing the Mayor to give notice to the video service provider of the provider fee; and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Tallon scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />September 11, 2007, to discuss Ordinances 2007-104 and 2007-105. He will contact the <br />Finance Director for input and asked that the Law Director attend. Councilman Miller <br />asked for written input from the Finance Director on Ordinance 2007-104. <br />President Kennedy scheduled aCommittee-of--the-Whole meeting to discuss the rate and <br />operational study at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11. The Mayor, Law Director, and <br />Service Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Gareau asked Council's opinion about setting the BZD meeting for <br />discussion of Walters Dentistry for September 11. Councilman Miller asked that the <br />meeting be held on Monday, September 17. Councilman Ryan inquired whether part of <br />the BZD meeting could be held in executive session. Councilman Gareau said he did not <br />know if that could be done but would consult with the Law Director. He will set the date <br />for the meeting tomorrow. <br />Councilman Miller complimented all those who were involved in this year's <br />Homecoming. There were a lot of positive changes: the spaghetti dinner, the Taste of <br />North Olmsted, and the selection of the bands. There were a lot of positive changes <br />which brought more of a family crowd in this year. He would like to compliment <br />everybody who volunteered. It was well done and really impressive. <br />Councilman Barker agreed with the comments about Homecoming. Old friends from out <br />of town attended and were really impressed. The food was great. <br />Councilman Miller made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Ryan and passed unanimously.
