Council Minutes of 8/21/2007 <br />was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2007-100 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-101 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Law to request proposals from attorneys and <br />law firms to provide outside legal services for the years 2008-2009; and further <br />authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an <br />agreement with the attorneys and/or law firms selected in the RFP process. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-102 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance creating new Chapter 174 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Job <br />Creation Grant Program," for the purpose of encouraging businesses to locate and expand <br />in North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-103 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of himself and Council Members Jones and Barker. An ordinance <br />amending Sections 1115.06 and 1139.01 of the North Olmsted Zoning Code in order to <br />limit the location of correctional facilities to the city's General Retail Business District. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President Kennedy scheduled a Committee-of--the-Whole meeting for Thursday, <br />September 27, at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers to discuss the Crocker/Steams corridor <br />plan. All of Council, the Mayor and Planning Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Miller scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting for Monday, <br />August 27, at 7 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2007-87 regarding trash hauling. The Service <br />Director is asked to attend and provide all the specs that were requested at the Last <br />committee meeting. <br />Councilman Tallon scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7:15 p.m. on Monday, <br />August 27, to discuss Ordinances 2007-99, 2007-101, 2007-68 and Resolution 2007-80. <br />The Finance Director and any directors involved in the ordinances are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Orlowski scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting <br />for 8:15 p.m. on Monday, August 27, to discuss Ordinances 2007-94, 2007-95, <br />and 2007-82. The Law Director and Councilman Ryan are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Gareau asked the Mayor to clarify his statement that he sometimes had not <br />received tapes he had asked for. Mayor O'Grady said in one instance a tape he requested <br />did not exist because of a problem with our antiquated taping system. <br />Councilman Ryan scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting on <br />Thursday, August 30, at 7 p.m. to consider legislation 2007-96 and also 2007-102.
