Council Minutes of 8/7/2007 <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2007-79 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance extending for a sixty day period the temporary, part-time Fire Administrator <br />position in the North Olmsted Fire Department created by Ordinance No. 2006-157, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Orlowski moved to table, and the motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Barker. Roll call Orlowski, yes; Barker, yes; Gareau, yes; <br />Miller, yes; Ryan, no; Tallon, yes. The motion passed with five yes votes and one no <br />vote. Ordinance No. 2007-79 tabled. <br />Resolution No. 2007-80 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution adopting the alternative tax budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />fiscal year beginning January 1, 2008, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-81 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2007. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-82 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending Section 755.11 of Chapter 755 (Secondhand Dealers) of the <br />Business Regulation Code, entitled "Hours and Circumstances of Sales," in order to <br />regulate outdoor collection receptacles on commercial property, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2007-83 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution ratifying and confirming the 2006 contract previously executed by the <br />Mayor and Electronic Commerce Link, Inc., ("E-Gov Link") and authorizing the Mayor <br />to execute an addendum to said contract with E-Gov Link, providing for the latter to <br />provide additional software application services to the city. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-84 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending Sections 1, 2 and 3 of Ordinance 2003-22, as amended by <br />Ordinance 2004-175, in order to authorize the Springvale Facility Manager to charge <br />costs only for city-sponsored events held at the Springvale Golf Course andlor Ballroom <br />facility. <br />Resolution No. 2007-85 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to terminate the city's contract with Sports Venue <br />Advertising, Inc. Councilman Barker moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and <br />passed unanimously.
