<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 19, 2007 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Orlowski, Ryan, Tallon <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Miller <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of June 5, 2007 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2007-38, Resolution 2007-65, <br />Resolution 2007-66, Resolution 2007-67, Ordinance 2007-73, Ordinance 2007-74, <br />Ordinance 2007-75, Ordinance 2007-76, Ordinance 2007-71; first reading, Resolution <br />2007-78, Ordinance 2007-79. <br />President Kennedy announced that Council would be on vacation during the month of <br />July, and the next regularly scheduled meeting would be held on August 7, 2007. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) The first ever Fairview Park/North Olmsted Relay for Life to <br />benefit the American Cancer Society is scheduled for Saturday, June 23, at Noon and <br />running until 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 24. It will be held at the North Olmsted High <br />School complex. All residents are encouraged to stop by and support what will be a very <br />fun-filled event. For information, contact Director John Dailey or North Olmsted <br />chairperson Melissa Meredith. <br />2) The annual Fourth of July Bike Parade and Picnic will begin with judging of decorated <br />bikes at 9:45 a.m., the parade at 10:30 a.m., the opening ceremonies at 11 a.m. at North <br />Olmsted Park, followed by the picnic. <br />3) On-going visual inspection of the ice rink at the Recreation Center continues to show <br />no major problems at this point. It is expected the ice will be back up and ready to go by <br />August 1. <br />
