This week, the outstanding student is Dan Russell, a senior at St. Edward
High School, and his nephew.
2) We continue our coordination with ODOT regarding the I-480 noise barrier project.
As reported previously, we were successful in our negotiations with ODOT in assuring
that this would be a fiscal year 2008 project, and fisca12008 begins in July of 2007. With
the advertising and bidding period, it is expected that the project will sell in November,
foundation work will be completed during the winter months, and actual wall
construction will start as soon as the weather breaks in the spring of 2008.
3) He will be honored tomorrow evening by CSU's Levine College of Urban Affairs as
their distinguished elected official. Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson will be the keynote
speaker. He will accept this distinction on behalf of our entire administration and the
citizens of our city. His cabinet has been outstanding and the directors and the Council
he works with are very capable. It's really a team effort, and he will accept it that way.
