Council Minutes of 5/1/2007 <br />Ordinance No. 2007-50 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Tallon <br />on behalf of himself and Councilmen Orlowski and Ryan. An ordinance amending <br />Section 103.03 ("Official Seal") of the Administrative Code in order to require all city <br />vehicles, except for unmarked Police vehicles, to prominently display the official city <br />seal. <br />Resolution No. 2007-51 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution retroactively accepting a FY2007 Community Development Block Grant <br />("CDBG") from Cuyahoga County providing funding for a project to conduct an <br />assessment of city facilities and services for compliance with the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA), ratifying the Mayor's actions in executing a contract with <br />Cuyahoga County setting forth the terms and conditions of the grant, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Orlowski moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review and noted it had been briefly discussed. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Orlowski moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2007-51 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-52 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Orlowski, An ordinance amending Section 505.15 of Chapter 505 (Animals and Fowl) of <br />the General Offenses Code, entitled "Keeping, Maintaining and Feeding of Wiid <br />Animals," in order to prohibit displaying, maintaining or in any other manner keeping <br />wild animals at temporary events or retail stores in the City of North Olmsted, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2007-53 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Planning to proceed with negotiations for the <br />sale of city-owned real property on Lorain Road identified as Permanent Parcel Number <br />237-09-003 and known as the former site of the Pine Tree Beverage store, and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract to sell the real property. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Miller scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting for 7 p.m. <br />on Tuesday, May 8, to complete discussion of Ordinance 2007-38. Council members are <br />encouraged to submit questions to the Service Director. <br />Councilman Barker scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee <br />meeting for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, to discuss Ordinance 2007-7. The Service <br />Director, Planning Director, Human Resources Director and Network Administrator are <br />asked to attend. <br />Councilman Tallon scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May <br />8, to discuss Ordinances 2007-48 and 2007-53. The Finance Director, Mayor, and <br />directors affected by the legislation are asked to attend. <br /> <br />11 <br />
