City Council Minutes of 4/3/2007 <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Orlowski moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2007-31 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-32 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady <br />on behalf of himself and Council Members Barker, Gareau, Jones, Miller, Orlowski and <br />Tallon. A resolution recognizing April 22, 2007 as Earth Day in the City of North <br />Olmsted and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for <br />adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau. Roll call: Barker, yes; <br />Gareau, yes; Tallon, yes; Ryan, no; Orlowski, yes; Miller, yes; Jones, yes. The motion <br />passed with six yes votes and one no vote. Resolution No. 2007-32 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-33 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into amulti-jurisdictional agreement for the <br />interchange of Bomb Squad and/or SWAT Unit services, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2007-34 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Orlowski on behalf of himself and Mayor O'Grady. A resolution authorizing the Mayor <br />of the City of North Olmsted to file an application with the Ohio Historical Society, at the <br />request of the Landmarks Commission and in cooperation with the Olmsted Historical <br />Society, for an Ohio historical designation marker for Springvale Ballroom. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-35 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending Section 957.01 of Chapter 957 (Alcoholic Beverages on Public <br />Grounds) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to permit <br />alcohol to be sold and consumed at North Olmsted Park in conjunction with the 2007 <br />AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade. Councilman Ryan requested the Law Dept. look into this <br />with the Ohio Liquor Commission. He wants to know what the Ohio Liquor Commission <br />feels about the city serving alcohol in our park. Law Director Dubelko said he would be <br />happy to look into it. <br />Resolution No. 2007-36 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to purchase new <br />telecommunications equipment and related software and appurtenances for City Hall, the <br />Police Department, Fire Stations #1 and #2, the Recreation Center, the Senior Center, the <br />Springvale Ballroom and Golf Course, and the Wastewater Treatment Plant, through the <br />State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all necessary <br />contract and other documents required. <br />Resolution No. 2007-37 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into <br />a series of new utility service contracts with AT&T to provide telephone and voicemail <br />services to the City of North Olmsted. <br />11 <br />
