<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 20, 2007 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Gareau, Dailey 3ones, <br />Miller, Orlowski, Ryan, Tallon <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Clerk of Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Barker <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of March 6, 2007 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2007-17, Resolution 2007-21. <br />President Kennedy made the following announcements: A public hearing will be held on <br />Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. with regard to Ordinance 2007-20; a special Council meeting <br />will be held at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27. <br />REPURTS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) Presented a proclamation to Meghan Bridgid Hanrahan in honor of <br />her selection as Queen to represent the Westside Irish American Club in the Saint <br />Patrick's Day Parade of 2007. Meghan was congratulated by all present. <br />2) Recognized Dianne Discenzo, manager of the North Olmsted branch of the Cuyahoga <br />County Library, who was in the audience. <br />3) The new caucus room and new ADA entrance to City Hall were used this evening. <br />Open government is goad government, but government is not open unless it is open to <br />all. It is today in North Olmsted. <br />4) Second annual Mayor's Ball will be held on Saturday, April 21. Contact <br />Administrative Assistant Annie Kilbane for information. The event will be held at the <br />Springvale Ballroom and will benefit charities and programs in North Olmsted and in our <br />larger community. <br />5) Continuing in his efforts to increase the posture of the City of North Olmsted in the <br />region and in the nation, last week he attended the National League of Cities <br />Congressional Conference. In addition to other activities while in Washington, he <br />attended a committee meeting regarding early childhood education on Capitol Hill with <br />m <br />
