Council Minutes of 3/20/2007 <br />7) Bill Tanruther, 24761 Arlington, moved on the street in 1971 and for 20 years the city <br />came out every single year with sealer and sealed the cracks and took care of it like a <br />good steward. Somewhere along the line, they just quit. They did nothing. Now we're <br />paying for it. The city needs to get back to being a good steward, taking care of what <br />we've got and get things back to normal. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2006-122 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading as <br />twice amended. An ordinance amending Section 1139.01 of the Zoning Code in order to <br />eliminate the locational and density requirements for pet stores and animal hospitals in <br />General Retail Business Districts as twice amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-17 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading as <br />amended. An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2007 as <br />amended. <br />Resolution No. 2007-21 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution accepting a donation of field reconditioning services from the North Olmsted <br />Hot Stove League for Diamonds 4 and 5 at North Olmsted Park, and waiving field prep <br />fees and permit fees for the North Olmsted Hot Stove League for the year 2007, and <br />declaring an emergency. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the rule <br />requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2007-21 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-22 introduced by Councilman Gareau on behalf of himself and <br />Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Public Service to advertise for bids for cracksealing on various streets in the City of <br />North Olmsted, as per specifications on file in his office, and authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a contract for same. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-26 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance adopting a model ordinance for illicit discharge and illegal connection control <br />and creating new Chapter 933 of the Utilities Code. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-28 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $112,000 of bonds, for the purpose <br />of improving and equipping the city's Springvale Country Club and Ballroom by <br />renovating, remodeling, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving the clubhouse <br />and ballroom, acquiring mowers and other golf course equipment and acquiring and <br />installing parking lot lighting, in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and <br />work incidental thereto. Councilman Tallon, chairperson of the Finance Committee, said <br />that he was in receipt of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. <br />14 <br />
