Council Minutes of 3/20/2007 Ordinance No. 2007-29 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Tallon. An ordinance amending the range of compensation rates and salary ranges for the various administrative and legislative personnel to authorize increases in the salary ranges for the year 2007 for the non-bargaining unit positions of Secretary I and II, the Clerk of Council and for other non-bargaining unit positions whose ranges are determined by reference to the range set for the non-bargaining unit positions of Secretary I and Secretary II, and to otherwise restate the compensation rate ranges for said various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2004 through 2007, and declaring an emergency. MISCELLANEOUS ~3USINESS Council Member Dailey Jones made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman Barker, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau. Roll call: Jones, yes; Gareau, yes; Tallon, yes; Ryan, yes; Orlowski, yes; Miller, yes, with congratulations to Mr. Barker on becoming a grandfather. The motion passed unanimously. Councilman Tallon scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, to discuss Ordinances 2007-28 and 2007-29. The Finance Director, the Recreation Committee members, and the C. L. S. Director are asked to attend. President Kennedy announced a special Council meeting would be held at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2007. Ordinance 2007-28 will be on second reading. Councilman Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for Tuesday, March 27, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. The committee will discuss Ordinance 2007-5 and Planning & Design items Laser Wash and Wild Mango. The Planning Director is asked to attend. Council Member Dailey Jones scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting for 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, to discuss Ordinance 2007-27. The Law Director, Service Director and a representative from the Chamber of Commerce is asked to attend. Mayor O'Grady asked if Council wanted to schedule 2007-17 for the special Council meeting. Mr. Tallon said not at this time. With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before Council, President Kennedy adjourned the meeting at 10:15 p.m. ,° $arbara L.
