n <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 6, 2007 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Bazker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Miller, Orlowski, Ryan, Talton <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of February 20, 2007 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2007-15, Resolution 2007-19; <br />first reading, Resolution 2007-23, Ordinance 2007-24. <br />President Kennedy announced the following public hearings: Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at <br />7 p.m. regarding Ordinance 2007-5; Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 7 p.m. regarding Ordinance <br />2007-20. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) Presented a proclamation to North Olmsted resident Mr. Stephen L. <br />Mulloy in honor of his selection as the 2007 Saint Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshall <br />and in recognition of his outstanding contributions to his family, to the Irish community, <br />and to our community. Mr. Mulloy was recognized and congratulated by all present, and <br />he expressed his thanks. <br />2) This weekend, he had the great honor of administering the oath of enlistment to almost <br />100 new soldiers. Thank you to all who are serving or have previously served in our <br />Armed Forces. <br />3) His second annual Mayor's Ball will be held on Saturday, April 21, at Springvale <br />Ballroom. Please contact Administrative Assistant Annie Kilbane for information. The <br />event will benefit charities and programs in North Olmsted and our lazger community. <br />4) Regarding water rates, the $7 is for Cleveland to read, bill and collect their water <br />charge. Cleveland charges our residents $4.31 that is within that line item sewer <br />assessment on the bill. <br />5) Departments: <br />Community Life Services: <br />
