Council Minutes of 2/7/2007
and is proud. of the community. He invited Mr. DeBrodt to call him at any time to
discuss his comments.
Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane, spoke about an incident which occurred at his home
with. a Time Warner Cable employee who used an excuse of a complaint being made that
Mr. Lambert was stealing cable to check his premises. On investigation, Mr. Lambert
found that no complaint had been made, and the employee was just using that as a ploy.
His home is on a corner lot, and it is evident that there are no cables going from the pole
to his home. He believes using this ploy is a serious issue and would like this
investigated. Mayor O'Grady said that is not an acceptable way to conduct business and
he would follow up on it.
LEGISLATION
Ordinance No. 2006-200 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its third reading. Roll call: Tallon, yes; Miller, yes, with comment
that he would like to thank the Mayor and Kim Wenger for their work on this. If it works
out on a long-term basis, it will give some great relief to the taxpayers. If it's fruitful, it
can be beneficial and give us all some relief if we get some major corporations in. He
introduced legislation that it be a position. This idea is just as good. If it's productive, he
will be thrilled as will everyone. Roll call continued: Orlowski, yes; Ryan, yes; Barker,
yes; Jones, yes; Gareau, yes. The motion passed unanimously.
