. ' <br />Special Council Minutes of 12/30!2008 <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2008-155 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending Sections 3 and 8 of Ordinance No. 2002-103 which, inter alia, <br />established fees and charges for emergency medical services rendered by the North <br />Olmsted Fire Department, as previously amended by Ordinance No. 2002-154, in order <br />to increase fees and charges and further to provide for all billing revenues to be paid into <br />the General Fund and declaring an emergency as amended. Councilman Gareau moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-155 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-162 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures far the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2009 as amended. Councilman <br />Gareau moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings for the reason the <br />appropriation ordinance must be in place by January 1, 2009 in order to meet our <br />obligations. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Barker. Roll call: Gareau, yes; Barker, yes; Ryan, yes with comment his vote does not <br />indicate he is happy with the way the budget stands at the moment. But last year we <br />almost had a situation where employees did not get paid, .and he doesn't want that to <br />happen again. So his vote is yes for now. Roll call continued: Mahoney, yes; Jones, yes; <br />Orlowski, yes; Kearney, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2008-162 <br />adopted. <br />With the agenda being completed, President Kennedy adjourned the special Council <br />meeting at 7:53 p.m. <br />+~~ <br />L.
