Council Minutes of 12/2/2008 <br />efficiently provide for the removal of dead, dying and/or fallen trees from private <br />property. <br />Resolution No. 2008-157 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member <br />Dailey Jones. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into afive-year agreement <br />with the Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") providing for the <br />referral of fair housing complaints to the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. Council Member Jones moved far suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review in light of time constraints in signing the agreement with <br />HUD. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Council Member Jones moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Kearney. Roll call: Jones, yes; Kearney, yes; Ryan, no; Orlowski, yes; <br />Mahoney, yes; Gareau, yes; Barker, yes. The motion passed with six yes votes and one <br />no vote. Resolution No. 2008-157 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-158 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with University Hospitals <br />of Cleveland that will provide for the North Olmsted Police Department to participate in <br />the Cuyahoga County High Visibility Enforcement Project, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Ryan moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Ryan moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2008-158 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-159 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance establishing the organization of the Fire Division of the Department of <br />Public Safety, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-160 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance establishing the organization of the Police Division of the Department of <br />Public Safety, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-161 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2008. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-162 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2009. <br />Resolution No. 2008-163 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />purchase of a maximum of 35,000 gallons of sodium aluminate for atwelve-montYi <br />period, for use by the Wastewater Treatment Plant for phosphate removal, and <br />authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />20 <br />
