Council Minutes of 10/7/2008 Resolution No. 2008-127 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution authorizing -the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for brush removal services in accordance with plans and specifications on file in his office and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement for said services with the lowest and best bidder, subject to approval by the Board of Control. Resolution No. 2008-128 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for snow plowing services in accordance with plans and specifications on file in his office and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement for said services with the lowest and best bidder, subject to approval by the Board of Control. Resolution No. 2008-129 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter a collective bargaining agreement with the Ohio Benevolent Patrolman's Association for the city's dispatchers for the period January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008 (and declaring an emergency). Resolution No. 2008-130 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady on behalf of himself and Councilman Kearney. A resolution accepting a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety for the Police Department's participation in the Third Grade Safety Belt Program, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Public Safety setting forth the terms and conditions of the grant and participation in said program, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney moved for suspension of the rules requiring three- readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2008-131 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Orlowski. An ordinance providing for the amendment of Section 1127.04 of the Zaning Code of the City of North Olmsted to provide for voter approval by majority of electors within the ward of any zoning or rezoning from single family to residential cluster district. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Kearney scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, to discuss Ordinance 2008-122. The Safety Director and Animal Warden are asked to attend. Councilman Barker scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, to discuss Resolutions 2008-115, 2008-116, 2008-125, 2008-126, 2008-127, 2008-128 and 2008-129 and Ordinances 2008-118 and 1008-124. The Mayor, Finance Director, Law Director, and Service Director are asked to attend. 11
