Council Minutes of 9/2/2008 Resolution No. 2008-113 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution authorizing the Service Director to prepare and submit an application to participate in the Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement and/or Local Transportation Improvement Program(s) regarding proposed improvements to the Porter Road water main, and to execute contracts as required, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review for the reasons cited by the Service Director during caucus. A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into an agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners to receive funds from the FY2007 State Homeland Security Grant Program allotted for Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT) equipment and training expense reimbursement, and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 2008-115 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees ("AFSCME"), Ohio Council 8, Loca12681 for the city's Service Unit employees, for the period July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2009 and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 2008-116 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees ("AFSCME"), Ohio Council 8, Local 2681 for the city's Clerical & Technical employees, for the period July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2009 and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2008-117 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. An ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted by rezoning Permanent Parcel Numbers 236-23-028, 236-23-017, 236-24-019, and 236-24-020, located on Butternut Ridge Road east of Canterbury Road from Single Residence A to Residential Cluster District. Ordinance No. 2008-118 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady on behalf of himself and Council Members Dailey Jones and Barker. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to request proposals for professional consulting engineering services for the city's Division of Engineering; further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an agreement with the firm selected in the RFP process; and declaring an emergency. 10 ~..~
