Council Minutes of 9/2/2008 <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2008-107 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-108 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending the range of compensation rates and salary ranges for <br />administrative and legislative personnel so as to provide the changes in titles and salary <br />ranges for various non-bargaining unit positions in the Wastewater Treatment section of <br />the Division of Public Works in the Department of Public Service; and to otherwise <br />restate the compensation rate ranges for said various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for the year 2008, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-109 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2008. <br />Resolution No. 2008-110 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for lawn <br />mowing services in accordance with plans and specifications on file in his office and <br />further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement for said services with the lowest <br />and best bidder, subject to approval by the Board of Control. <br />Resolution No. 2008-111 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Service Director to prepare and submit an application to <br />participate in the Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement and/or <br />Local Transportation Improvement Program(s) regarding proposed improvements to <br />Dover Center Road, and to execute contracts as required, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Mahoney moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Barker. Roll call: <br />Mahoney, yes; Barker, yes; Jones, yes; Ryan, yes, commenting he would like to vote ten <br />times yes since it's Dover Center Road! Roll call continued: Orlowski, yes; Kearney, <br />yes; Gareau, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2008-111 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-112 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Service Director to prepare and submit an application to <br />participate in the Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement and/or <br />Local Transportation Improvement Program(s) regarding proposed improvements to <br />Fitch Road, and to execute contracts as required, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Mahoney moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review for the reasons cited in caucus by Service Director Limpert. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Mahoney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br />passed unanimously.
