Resolution No. 2008-99 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-107 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for the <br />personal services of a third party administrator (TPA) to process health insurance claims <br />and including the purchase of excess insurance coverage for the city health care & <br />hospitalization plans for 2009, and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of <br />the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said services and insurance, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-108 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending the range of compensation rates and salary ranges for <br />administrative and legislative personnel so as to provide for changes in titles and salary <br />ranges for various non-bazgaining unit positions in the Wastewater Treatment section of <br />the Division of Public Works in the Department of Public Service; further to remove one <br />position in the Wastewater Treatment section from FLSA-overtime exempt status; and to <br />otherwise restate the compensation rate ranges for said various administrative and <br />legislative personnel for the year 2008 and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS Bj,T -:IS~NESS <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />August 26. The Finance Director and Service Director are asked to attend. Discussed <br />will be Ordinance Nos. 2008-10? and 2008-108; the engineering analysis which was <br />submitted at the last Finance Committee meeting which ran long; an update from the <br />Finance Director regarding the financial condition of the city. <br />Councilman Mahoney scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee <br />meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9. Recreation Commissioner DiSalvo, <br />Springvale Manager Young, Community Life Services Director Dailey, and Planning <br />Director Wenger are asked to attend. The purpose of the meeting is to have a quarterly <br />update in regards to the operations at Springvale and our Rec Center and any financial <br />issues and ADA issues. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President Kennedy adjourned the meeting at 9:37 p.m. <br />d. ~ <br />Barbara L.
